Cupcake experienced some major tech difficulties as he “Resolve”-d to master a new editing software, but the WS+ boyz are back! This time taking on the fourth Conjuring film, itself the 9th movie in the “Conjuring” universe (the “CU”). Directed by CU mainstay director Michael Chaves with returning leads Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, pic fashions the famed demonologists (or hoax-artists?) Ed and Lorraine Warren as spiritual warrior-superheroes as they wage war on a demon that has a link to both the Warrens and a Pittsburgh family. With diminishing returns in the franchise, is this new Conjuring a return to form of the fun-house thrills of Conjuring 1 and 2 or does this series of films need to head towards the light and live on in our memories?
