In today's episode of Psych Talk I chat with Allie McQuaid, LCPC, PMH-C all about millennials unlearning from their childhood. Allie is a therapist specializing in moms, but also loves working with millennials (many of whom are moms now). Allie and I discuss the various challenges millennials face when it comes to mental health, as well as many messages and themes millennials are currently working on unlearning from their childhood. Allie discusses the techniques she uses with millennial clients who are trying to unlearn from their childhood and how what we did learn as kids impact how we view and navigate the world now. Allie also dives in to how the way us millennials were raised is impacting how we raise our children, and the many things millennial parents are trying to do differently when it comes to parenting.
