On this episode we have on BJ Barham from the band American Aquarium

BJ gave lots of stories about growing up and how he was raised and what changes he’s making in his parenting style for his daughter.  For example, they give a lot of space for his daughter to express and explain herself and they see her carry that confidence of knowing she’s listened to into the classroom and the world.  We talked about how he started to get that respect from his parents in high school and how that changed him.  We also discussed how having your kid travel the world with you teaches them, our mutual love of National Parks, almost completing his goal to see every national park with his family, and life on tour.

BJ is a full time musician who is either touring, making albums, spending time with family, or running for political office in Wendell North Carolina.  So BJ, thank you a ton for doing a call with me on one of your off days.
