On this episode we have on Austin Marshall. He works as an artist manager at Starstruck Entertainment, and is married to musician Maggie Rose.

We talked about life with a 20 week old, touring with a baby, finding out they were pregnant and Grammy nominated in the same year, getting back to work after having a kid, being excited about nesting, Moms on Call Schedule saving his sanity and the happiness he finds in the little moments of being a dad.

I got connected with Austin through Family Alliance in Music, also known as FAM.  The work that FAM does and Austin and Maggie’s support of the organization was a big part of this conversation. 

FAM is an organization providing advocacy, education and financial support to parents and caretakers in the music industry. They want to create an industry where those caring for a family and pursuing a career in the music industry can thrive.

This grant will support music industry professionals navigating the challenges of family life. • Fertility Assistance: For those pursuing parenthood through fertility treatments.
• Needs-Based Grants: For live touring professionals facing financial hardship due to family demands.
• Family Caregiving Assistance: For those balancing their careers with caring for a loved one.
• Small Business Benefits: For small music businesses looking to provide employee benefits that support family needs.
