She's worked in community mental health, university counseling centers, multiple Veterans Affairs hospitals, nursing homes, and now private practice. Since she's a recovering overachiever, she's also an author, an editor, a registered yoga teacher and trained as a death & mourning doula. She has been known to dress as a unicorn--repeatedly--and has been kissed by a giant Amazonian river otter.
