The pearl! A luminescent, oceanic gemstone, created in the briny deep, the result of an intrusive grain of sand. Pearls are usually associated with the feminine, with Venus-Aphrodite, as a symbol of purity and beauty, or perhaps an expression of lunar consciousness. 

This episode pushes the understanding of the pearl beyond these expectations, as we explore adjacent stories in which characters are searching for the soul. From the gnostic story of Thomas searching for a pearl at the bottom of the ocean, to Percival and the Grail Myth, the famous Medieval “Pearl” poem about a lost daughter, St. George and the Dragon, we explore whether the search for the pearl is about the redemption of the feminine, or unification with the self.
