With softball officially over due to COVID-19, Tom Canterbury and Gray Robertson are back and ready to wrap up the season and discuss the sport’s sudden conclusion! Here's your trip around the bases (our apologies for any audio issues…it’s our first true show apart): 

At the Plate (0:00-27:22): Tom and Gray wrap up the 2020 softball season and discuss what could’ve been for Alabama and the SEC. Then, the guys present Alabama Team MVPs, their top five moments of the season, and two questions about 2020 college softball they wish they knew the answers to. Finally, it’s a brief preview of what Alabama could look like in 2021 plus how YOU can get a “Farcical” shirt. 

Advancing to First (27:30-54:37): ESPN Analyst and 7Innings Podcast contributor Jen Schroeder is BACK to talk about the fallout from the shortened 2020 softball season, extra eligibility, the transfer portal’s potentially massive offseason, her favorite memories from this past year, how the shortened year could impact future TV deals, an update on The Packaged Deal’s Softball School, and more. Plus, the guys send a special shoutout to Emily Pitek! 

Stealing Second (54:47-1:19:09): Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy swings by to talk about the swift impact of COVID-19 on college softball, the discussions that happened behind the scenes, his favorite memories from this year, what 2021 could look like with an eligibility vote pending, the 2021 SEC Tournament, and much more. 

Rounding Third (1:19:19-1:40:41): Tennessee softball radio broadcaster Brian Rice joins Tom and Gray to talk about what happened when the Lady Vols heard the news that the season was done, what this means for certain teams who’ve had special seasons, the growth of the sport, eligibility, and what 2021 looks like in Knoxville and in the SEC.
