On this week’s episode of Grease the Wheels, we break down the myriad of wanted ads that face technicians of every ilk every single day. Turns out they have a lot of ideas about what they want from you, but when it comes to what they are going to provide for your services - that bit is a bit lacking in the keyword count. The worst thing that you can do if you’re hiring a technician for your shop or dealership is not list any sort of range. Obviously everyone already knows that the wage is going to be commensurate with the experience and certifications of the technician applying - but at least give a ballpark for what your idea of a highly paid technician is. We also wish all of our fellows with the wrenches and the knowledge to fix things a very Happy Thanksgiving wherever you are in the world - we are so thankful for you and what you do because we know how important it really is!

Also Uncle Jimmy harpoons the idea of “volunteering in a shop” when you’re in tech school for obvious reasons.
