ကမန္တိုင္းရင္းသားေတြဟာ ျမန္မာျပည္မွာ ဥပေဒအရ တရား၀င္ျဖစ္တဲ့ တိုင္းရင္းသားလူမ်ိဳး ၁၃၅မ်ိဳးထဲက တစ္မ်ိဳး ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

ဒါေပမယ့္လည္း လက္ရိွမွာ ခြဲျခားဆက္ဆံမႈေတြကို အေတာ္ႀကံဳေတြ႔ေနရၿပီး ကင္ဆာ လို႔ပါ နာမည္တပ္ခံရတဲ့ ကမန္လူမ်ိဳးေတြဟာ ရန္ကုန္မွာ တရား၀င္ေနထိုင္ခြင့္ ရရိွခဲ့တာေၾကာင့္ သူတို႔ရဲ႕ ေနရပ္ ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္ကေန ေရႊ႕ေျပာင္းထြက္ခြာခဲ့ၾကပါတယ္။

The Kaman people are one of the 135 ethnic groups accepted by Myanmar’s government.

Yet they face widespread discrimination, have been described as a “cancer.” Many have been kicked out of their Rakhine homeland as part of an “official” relocation to Yangon.
