One week of college softball is in the books! Tom Canterbury and Gray Robertson are back and ready to breakdown everything from opening weekend in the sport. Here's your trip around the bases: 

At the Plate (0:00-24:37): Tom and Gray dissect Alabama’s impressive opening weekend, especially the quality outings from the pitching staff as well as the starting infield competition. Then, they preview the Easton Bama Bash and take a closer look at the LSU game on Sunday. 

Advancing to First (26:01-47:20): The guys discuss everything that happened in the SEC during the first weekend of the year and cover big week two games featuring conference teams. Then, Gray gives out the first FGCL Player of the Week in the new “Gray’s FGCL Corner” segment. 

Stealing Second (47:28-1:12:48): ESPN analyst, 7Innings Podcast contributor, and former UCLA catcher Jen Schroeder is back to talk about her alma mater’s season opener, Washington’s weekend struggles, impressions of Alabama, Oklahoma’s offensive firepower, concerns about LSU, under-the-radar teams, no bat testing in 2021, and so much more. NOTE: The 2021 bat testing rules are even more complicated than discussed here, but that will be covered and clarified more in upcoming episodes. 

Rounding Third (1:12:57-1:32:54): The guys answer some questions in a mailbag segment, including queries about the infield, Alabama’s SEC schedule, television’s impact on the sport, cinderella teams, and which Alabama player or staffer would be the best Bachelor or Bachelorette contestant. 

Heading Home (1:33:03-1:59:00): To close the show, Tom and Gray each give their Top Five SEC Power Rankings and provide a quick “Tom’s Hungry” involving the failed trip to Austin. Then, the guys give a HUGE “Off the Wall” that answers the age-old question: “What channel is this on?”
