Another week of college softball is in the books! Tom Canterbury and Gray Robertson are back and ready to breakdown everything from the past weekend of action in this very full episode. Here's your trip around the bases:
At the Plate (0:00-26:24): Tom and Gray dissect the Easton Bama Bash, especially the two wins over LSU that should definitely result in Alabama winning the belt (if you know, you know). After covering most of the team, the guys then preview a very busy week coming up for the Crimson Tide.
Advancing to First (26:32-49:14): The guys discuss everything that happened in the SEC during the second weekend of the year, and then talk about a huge slate on tap for week three. Then, Gray gives out the second FGCL Player of the Week in the “Gray’s FGCL Corner” segment.
Stealing Second (49:37-1:16:56): D1 Softball writer and former UCLA Bruin Tara Henry makes her debut on the show and talks about Rachel Garcia’s injury, Washington’s strange start, Arizona and Oklahoma’s offensive abilities, reactions to Alabama and LSU, the ACC, her own “Off the Wall”-esque viral tweet, and much more.
Rounding Third (1:17:05-1:41:48): Former Alabama player and SEC Network+ broadcaster Sydney Littlejohn Watkins stops by to discuss all things Crimson Tide, including her thoughts on the pitching staff, Bailey Dowling, two-out production, similarities to 2019, and much more.
Heading Home (1:41:58-2:07:44): To close the show, Tom and Gray give their Top Five Montana Fouts pitching performances, and then preview some of the big week three games nationally. After that, it’s another good “Off the Wall” that once again addresses the softball streaming landscape.
