Christopher Matthews  was the host, of Hardball with Chris Matthews, for more than 20 years.  He is a political institution. He was a presidential speechwriter during the Carter Administration, playing a direct role in many key political battles with the Reagan Administration. He holds 34 honorary degrees from numerous universities and colleges. He is a celebrated author….. and for me the man who always tells it like it is.
