In 2021, Ashley Wadsworth, a 19-year-old from Vernon, British Columbia, embarked on a life-changing journey to meet her longtime boyfriend, 23-year-old Jack Sepple, in Essex, London. Ashley and Sepple had been in close contact since she was 12 after meeting online in 2015. No one ever anticipated the nightmare Ashley would endure once she left the only home she’s ever known.
