Jamie McMahon is a firefighter at the same station where Aaron works. After graduating college and spending his life in the Midwest, he moved to the East Coast. During the Great Recession of 2008, there was a downturn in the Midwest job market; cities were bankrupt, laying off people. He discovered credit cards' rewards system and point system while seeking a job in Washington, DC, in 2016. A total of 21 cards have been issued to him to date, each with a different score.

During this episode, Jamie explains how credit cards and credit scores work to make them work for the user's benefit, not the lender's.
