Black History Month has happened every February since 1976. Something that began as a result of Carter G. Woodson's desire to recognize neglected aspects of American history seems to have become another weapon of identity-politics in our polarized climate. Does black history month contribute to race relations in our country? Does all black history matter? Have we adopted MLK's principle of judgement based upon character rather than skin color? We'll talk about these things and more during the entire month of February.
