The history of racism in our country has evolved into narratives that have been created out of thin air in order to justify hatred that inherently dwells in our hearts. What does the response to racism, hatred, evil look like in the children of God outside of the US?  This is the story of Rose Mapendo, a survivor of the Rwandan/DRC genocide and a sister in Christ. 

Her story is gut-wrenching yet her faith is encouraging and convicting. Trapped in prison camp awaiting execution, the Lord did for her what He does for all of His children - he strengthened her with a peace that will surpass your very understanding of peace. It will also confound your understanding of forgiveness in a way that could truly bring healing, peace and revival to our country amidst the cold war of race-rhetoric and "injustice" claims.

Dr. Krista Bontrager, the Theology Mom  and full-time ministry partner at the Center for Biblical Unity, joins me to dive into a discussion that we will probably need to have generation after generation because of how pervasive the lies of liberation theology are currently within our traditional ideologies. Why does the church seem so divided over the Christian profession? Why do so many professing Christians seem to adopt worldly philosophies under the guise of "justice"? 

Dr. Bontrager studied the ever-evolving tentacles of standpoint theory; from the well known ideologies of James Cone to the less well known step-child of feminist standpoint theory. Apparently, they all dwell in one big deceptive family,

Why does it seems that more and more Christians are being persuaded to join in with mockers and scoffers? There are far greater reasons Christians ought to seek the truth. Those reasons don't involve cracking a conspiracy case. It involves being prepared to discern against deceptions far greater. Paul, in Ephesians 6, highlights an aspect of the Christians armor against spiritual warfare - the belt of truth. Being fastened with truth doesn't mean you've picked a particual side in any given argument. It does however mean that you won't be assigned a side by mockers who dare you to continue to seek what is true. 

In this episode, I (Brandon) address the reason why it seems like I'm defending Candace Owens so fervently. I breakdown the fallacy of dismissing someone merely because you've been told to dismiss them. Also, are people being genuine regarding their critiques of Candace? Tell me your thoughts!

This episode started off as an episode on the conspiracy debates and slander tossed toward those who engage in them. Though we eventually get to the crux of the conversation (Minute 50), we began our episode reflecting on the last 200 episodes of Black and Blurred and how this podcast started. We also reflected on the ministry of Pastor Voddie Baucham and his influence on many believers today. 

In the latter half of this lengthy episode, we dive into the banter around Candace Owens, her work and the slander towards her that seems to just roll off of the lips of those who have no connection to her. How should Christians view the work of someone like Candace Owens? Is she a psyop? Is she a liar? Is she out to make money off of gossip and confusion? How should Christians think about these "conspiracy theories" in general? Is there a place in the Christian mind for entertaining the possibility of such great deception? Walk with us and hear our thoughts on why you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss those the world tells you to.

What does the Christian do when the world doesn't realize there is a spiritual enemy amongst us? We warn of the danger and proclaim Christ's victory from the rooftops!

There is much to have grief over: the death of a brother for standing on the truth, the slander and scoffing that his family received in the wake of the tragedy, and the very obvious divide between groups of people who all claim to follow and pledge allegiance to Jesus Christ. How do we recover? We die. Christian, you were left on this earth to die. Jesus, from His own mouth, defined what it meant to follow Him (Matt 16). It is time the American church no longer be a glorified soup kitchen but an outpost of Heaven where darkness can't hide. Love, protect, shepherd, have compassion and seek the face of the Lord together. Charlie Kirk will be called many names. On this episode, we call him a dragon slayer. Let us join him.

Are Christians aware of how discipled we've been in a culture of scoffers?  Are Christians aware that we live in a society that has trained us to never be concerned with what is true and to only be concerned with what our "team" thinks? What does the bible have to say about this type of behavior?

In this episode, we discuss the heart of a scoffer through a biblical lens and we hopefully lay some foundation for why we should care about the things that Candace Owens and many others talk about, whether or not you agree with their take on the matter.

There seemed to be much momentum as Trump announced his 3rd run for presidency. Many scandals had taken place and been forgotten: Russia Gate, Election Gate, Assassination Gate...etc. Even more, culturally, we descended into a place humanity had never been historically. Women were no longer women, but men could compete against them, also, men could become women so long as we admit there is no such thing as a woman. Christians defended these things and churches were split. All of this was taking place underneath the surface level culture divide of ethnic hatred and so on. 

Today, some momentum seems to have been lost. There is ethnic fatigue, there is Trump fatigue, there is feminism fatigue, there is church fatigue...what is going on?!

So, Brandon and Daren ask the question, "where are we now"? What does social media reveal to us as we peruse the internet to see where American culture is today? This is quite possibly a bold task, but a task worth completing. Tell us what you think below!
