On this week's episode, as we kick off the month of February and Black History Month, I share Nikole Hannah-Jones' poignant explanation of why people want to ban Black History. They want Black people to believe there is something wrong with them, rather than there is something wrong with our country. They don't want people to be educated and empowered to reveal the lie of our country. With our current political chaos, I know we have to sift through a lot of lies. We are all learning how to limit how much news we take in and be intentional about the sources we trust. In this racially divisive climate, honoring Black History Month feels more important than ever. May we seek to listen and learn from the experience and wisdom of our Black brothers and sisters.
