"SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU" is not something you'll hear on this month's episode of your favorite nu-metal podcast with Street Fight Radio's Bryan Quinby and Blocked Party's John Cullen, because once again, they talk for a very long time. This month, they review Linkin Park's debut album "Hybrid Theory", a band Bryan only seriously started listening to in preparation for this month's episode, and a band that John has liked from the very beginning.

There's a lot to unpack in this episode of the show, as the boys talk extensively about Linkin Park's wild backstory, reading insane news quotes from that time period and much later from Chester Bennington and other members of the band. Bryan also changes his opinion of Linkin Park, from believing it to be "children's music" to something a little closer to respect, by the end. It's fun when the boys disagree, and they've come to this album from very different places: John discusses the one time he skipped class in high school, which was to buy Linkin Park's second album, Meteora, and Bryan talks about clowning on people he knew that loved the band. They also discuss the album's insane popularity in the face of its horrible album cover and the fact the album peaked at #2 behind Creed yields a long discussion about bands with singers who sound like Eddie Vedder. As always, we learn a lot, and we both sing at the end, so what more could you want from a nu-metal podcast, really?
