It is only fitting that The Boys cover “The Machine” this week, as its star, Bert Kreischer, is a popular comedian most known for his podcast appearances. Did that surface level simpatico generate enthusiasm for his film? Given how long Cupcake and the Cinemasochist ramble on prior to getting to the review proper, I think you can already guess the outcome.
The near hourlong rambling consists of Jose’s plus of a healthy Kickstarter campaign he contributed to, Justin’s plus of an astoundingly awful film from an auteur, and the two constantly getting sidetracked in the cast & crew breakdown on projects and Russian culture that they’re passionate about.
