So I feel like I should start by saying, when I started the break up coach, it was so much more than breaking up with your ex – although predominantly that is what I cater for when I talk about break ups, I also mean break ups with toxic friendships, an old self that no longer serves you and even down to toxic family members too.
Toxic family members can feel like the hardest break up of all because ultimately, we all want to feel loved from our parents and in this, we can end up sacrificing ourselves and our own mental health to try and get this love – which also can then impact our own relationships in adult life.
I have had many conversations with clients, friends, and family on this and how we have to implement boundaries for ourselves when it comes to all relationships in our life.
