One of things we really struggle with when going through a break up is allowing ourselves to accept the situation we are in, we can go in to panic and not wanting to accept it is over, this can end up in expressing behaviours such as begging, bargaining, trying to convince them to take us back
But in reality this is only causing us more heartache and pain
One of the things I think you need to do in a break up is to not resist what is happening.
You need to accept and go straight in to allowing yourself to grieve – hold yourself, learn to self soothe, reassure yourself that you’ll be ok, even if it hurts right now
The quicker we accept that we have lost that person, the easier the break up process becomes.
This is where you need to reclaim your power, to take control of your healing.
