Back at the Spencer house, the family drama intensifies. Lucky confronts Nikolas, resentful of how his brother has come into his life, and still reeling from his confrontation with Luke. The brothers clash over their mother, with Nikolas questioning why Lucky holds so much anger toward Laura when Luke is the one who raped her. This fuels Lucky’s inner turmoil even further, deepening the divide between him and his family.

Later, Liz seeks out Laura, desperate to connect with someone who understands her pain. She admits that she was overwhelmed during her encounter with Murty, explaining how it sent her spiraling back to the night of her own rape. In a deeply emotional exchange, Liz asks Laura if she’s ever had moments like that, where the past crashes into the present and makes it hard to breathe. Laura, with tears in her eyes, reaches out and embraces Liz. She confesses that she too has faced those moments, haunted by her own trauma, and in that instant, the two women find a fragile connection in their shared pain.

The episode closes with Liz and Lucky performing at the Nurses' Ball, a brief escape from the chaos surrounding them. Yet even during this hopeful celebration, the weight of their unresolved trauma lingers, casting a shadow over their fragile peace.
