A Table at the Tan-O: Conversations About the World of General Hospital

Port Charles isn't much fun these days. Sonny gets out of the mob, and no one throws him a party. Meanwhile, Chase is delivering balls to Willow, and she's feeling good about that. Britt is very excited about her fling with a stranger, but of course he is a very bad man. Danny wants Rocco and Scout to stop seeing each other because he's bitter and alone. Elizabeth is having a great time with Dante, and doesn't see the problem with that. Ava is trying to escape the consequences of her very bad decisions, but Drew will have something to say about that. And Jason might have to resort to mob-type behavior to keep Phoebe safe. Scary. Scary. Scary.

So Chase and Brook Lynn took off for the Dominican Republic and inflicted their misery on a lovely Dominican gentleman. They may recover, but will he? And will Sonny strike a deal with Hudson? Do we care? Will Drew and Willow team up for reasons we don't quite understand? Will Carly and Valentin figure out what happened to Jack? We would enjoy that. Will Elizabeth realize she's giving Dante all kinds of mixed signals? Does Dante realize she's giving him all kinds of mixed signals? And wouldn't it be great if Ace and Phoebe became the greatest power couple Port Charles has ever seen?

Thank you for bearing with us, Tano-verse! You're the best! And isn't Britt the best right now? She's all in, and Gia and Keisha applaud the commitment (and are fine if she doesn't want to commit to the gun-toting stranger). Also great in their reactions to morning after Britt--Elizabeth, Felicia, Stella, and Lucas! All of the laughs were a necessary balance to the misery of Chase and Brook Lynn's divorce proceedings, and the Curtis situation, and the battle for Deception, and the Justine and Sonny whatever, and the Molly and Cody to move or not to move game. And probably some other things. Another welcome sight in any scene is Joe. More Joe, please. And Carly and Valentin continue to delight and surprise with their relationship. Good job!

America! World! Portugal. Gia is back. Gia and Keisha are back, but the app is grumpy today. The episode may be frustrating to listen to, but Gia gets in some good digs, and she has some good tips for how to save money on food when traveling. Hopefully, all will be well on Thursday, so they can finish this conversation and start a new one. Thank you for your patience!

So Lulu is working again. Our ace reporter managed to steal Felicia's ID card and  maneuver her way in and out of Sidwell's room without getting caught. Not exactly mother of the year behavior. The good news is, she wasted no time breaking the news that Willow was no stranger to the syringe. And now Drew is back in the spotlight too, which he has mixed feelings about. Of course, Chase continues to disappoint when he immediately believes Willow has been wronged again. Poor Brook Lynn. Meanwhile, Sonny has the support of Carly, Donna, Jason, and Ric. And that's it. Valentin and Carly get the award for best characters this week. Let's hope they stay together.

The misery continues! Come on! How much can we take? Everyone is turning on Sonny, and Joss is gunning for him. Chase and Brook Lynn are heading for a custody battle, and Hudson is lurking in the shadows. The kids are fighting. Serena is back and kind of hard to take. And Tracy wants to get rid of the falcons (that we are just now hearing about)!

What a miserable week in Port Charles! And a lot of familiar situations. Curtis is once again jumping to conclusions with very little information, and Jordan and Dante seem incapable of using their critical thinking skills, so Sonny has a lot of work to do to prove his innocence. Meanwhile, Tracy and Michael are making it impossible for Brook Lynn and Chase to think for themselves, and they should probably do a little work on themselves because they're becoming very tiresome. The kids are becoming tiresome too! And Ava and Drew are turning into a pretty dangerous couple. Thy could use some counseling. On the plus side, Hudson didn't appear once!

Oh Hudson is back, and he's sniffing around little Phoebe. Open your eyes, Brook Lynn! Look alive, Chase! Meanwhile, Valentin and Lulu are all over Charlotte. Will she try to make a run for it, or will she throw herself into life at Saint Agatha's? And what will Danny do? Get really good at a sport? Now over at Pentonville, Curtis tried to warn Sidwell about a wandering band of thugs, but Sidwell didn't want to skip lunch in his cell. So Curtis, bless his heart, circled back and now he's in the hospital along with Sidwell. Was Sonny responsible? You almost hope so because maybe then Justine would cut him loose. But Sonny doesn't beat people up anymore, does he? And why is our Elizabeth in a pencil skirt and heels? What if someone needs surgery? She's the best damn nurse in Port Charles!

Lots of parenting challenges in Port Charles these days! Portia is trying to do right by Des and Curtis, but what happens when Curtis gets out of jail? And Chase wants to be a part of Phoebe's life, but that means he has to surround himself with Quartermaines. Then there's Sonny, who has become a monster when it comes to Ava. What will happen to Avery when the war between her parents heats up? And Valentin and Jason might need to read a parenting book or two because they are flying blind. Meanwhile, Dante and Lulu are trying to loosen up and trust Rocco more. Teenagers are challenging! Also, Jordan has a sister, and she seems to be a tough cookie.

Good news: we haven't seen Hudson in awhile. Bad news: Jason is kind of a jerk! Let's hope Britt realizes she dodged a Chase-like bullet. On the plus side, Isaiah lent a sympathetic ear, and that's just what Britt needed. And Cody was great with Danny. And Carly was great with Charlotte. And Valentin was great with Lulu, but in a slightly different way. Also, Lucas and Joe are fun to watch as their friendship grows, regardless of where it leads. Elizabeth and Dante's friendship is a bit more problematic. When is Elizabeth going to realize she can't drape herself over Dante without causing some... stirrings?
