What a thrill it was to watch Lexy Halladay-Lowry become your 2025 USA steeplechase champion this past weekend — and I’m so pumped to bring you this episode with her just days later.
Lexy is fresh off a breakout season: she took second at NCAAs this spring while competing for BYU and is now officially Tokyo-bound to represent Team USA. She’s coached by Diljeet Taylor (who also coached her at BYU), and she’s already clocked a 9:08 steeple.
In this episode, Lexy breaks down the entire race — how it unfolded, what was going through her head, and how it feels to make the U.S. team. We also talk about her progression in the event, her relationship with Coach Taylor, and what she’s most looking forward to this season.
If you haven’t watched the race yet, I highly recommend pausing this and pulling it up — search 2025 USA steeplechase championships women’s final and enjoy watching Lexy totally crush it.
