This week we travel to Japan to discuss the misfortunes of the Spanish galleon San Felipe, stranded on the coast of Japan in 1596. The incident would be the catalyst for the persecution of Christians in Japan and a major contributing factor in the nation's isolationist foreign policy that lasted until the 19th century.
