After walking in on Liz and Nikolas in the turret room, Lucky’s heart breaks—and so does his sobriety. He keeps his pain buried at first, pretending to hold it together while quietly unraveling. Liz, unaware he knows the truth, chooses him and pushes Nikolas away, but Lucky’s calm is just a cover for the storm building underneath. When he finally lets it out, the fallout is brutal. Public confrontations, private breakdowns, and a whole lot of blame leave Liz isolated and ashamed. Lulu turns on both Nikolas and Liz, and Lucky—angry, drunk, and feeling like a stranger to himself—spirals deeper into grief, pulling a gun at Jake’s and later telling Ethan he doesn’t even recognize the man he’s become.

As Liz tries to move forward, her past comes rushing back. A Valentine’s Day flyer triggers memories of her assault, and she begins to unravel in a different way—overwhelmed by shame, judgment, and guilt. She finds brief comfort in a quiet moment with Jason, but it’s not enough to stop the spiral. Helena stirs up more chaos, pushing Nikolas deeper into his Cassadine side while taunting Liz in her own home. Meanwhile, Lucky can’t see past the betrayal and refuses to help as Liz’s mental health declines. It all comes to a head when Liz ends up collapsed at the church where she and Lucky once exchanged vows. Lucky finds her unconscious, and for the first time in a long time, the pain and history between them are no longer something they can ignore.
