Prof. Dr. Maria Besiou is the Professor for Humanitarian Logistics at Kuehne Logistics University (KLU). She serves as the Academic Director of the Research Center on Humanitarian Logistics and Regional Development (CHORD). CHORD has been established by HELP Logistics (https://www.help-logistics.org/) and KLU. CHORD aims at bringing together the best of two worlds by “combining top-class academic research and education with operational training and consulting excellence. “
