Episode 99: The Durable Mike Malloy

Listen Later

During the height of the Great Depression in New York City, speakeasy owner Tony Marino and his friends were desperate for cash. They needed quick money and decided that the best bet was to commit life insurance fraud. Mike Malloy seemed like the easiest target. He had no family or friends, no consistent job, no home,  and was by all accounts a severe alcoholic. Tony and his thugs hatched a plan for Mike to drink himself to death, but they would slowly learn how shockingly resilient Mike was.
