  • Ep. 2 "The Crazy Pill" Illuminates the Mutual Aid Revolution, Frontline Activist PTSD and More w/ Eleanor Goldfield
It's the 2nd episode of "The Crazy Pill," where we swallow insanity in order to puke out propaganda! Our equal parts badass and compassionate (what a combination!) guest, Eleanor Goldfield, opens up about her PTSD and anxiety. She tells us how some of this is connected to her frontline activist work. We discuss the larger problem of unresolved trauma and PTSD in the activist community. Then Eleanor explains all about the very important Mutual Aid Revolution that is sweeping the nation and the globe. It's all about people coming together to pool resources and skills to help each other with the understanding that the government is not going to be there for us. We also discuss Eleanor's brilliant new documentary, "Hard Road of Hope," which is all about coal country in West Virginia and the multi-generational exploitation of those people. It's incredibly eye-opening and a must see. Eleanor Goldfield is a brilliant artist, activist, journalist, author and filmmaker AND she's on "The Crazy Pill." Enjoy!

  • Ep. 1 "The Crazy Pill" Explains Bad Faith Bailouts, Truth Behind USPS Scandal and More w/ Sam Sacks
It's the first episode of "The Crazy Pill." This is the companion podcast to "Take Your Pills, Psychopath!" TCP promises to take deep dives into what's really going on politically and socially, pushing through the divisive left-right propaganda that keeps us all divided and, thus, controlled. "The Crazy Pill" is where we swallow insanity in order to puke out propaganda (TM). JFOD is fortunate enough to be friends with a number of the best independent journalists in the country. He picks their brains about the craziest stories they are tracking. In this inaugural episode, John interviews the brilliant Sam Sacks. Sam is an independent journalist with The District Sentinel and Means Morning News. He lets the Psycho community in on what's really up with the USPS scandal, and he explains just how in bad faith these covid-related bad faith bailouts have been, plus so much more interesting stories that are purposefully kept off of our radar. Enjoy!

  • Ep. 20 Surviving the NYC Foster "They Don't" Care System w/ Kareem Green
In this episode of TYPP!, JFOD interviews the brilliant, hilarious, ball of positivity that is comedian, Kareem Green. Back in the day, Kareem was already established in the NYC comedy scene when JFOD moved to town. So this is a really fun opportunity for these two to reconnect and reminisce. Kareem graciously opens up about the difficulties he experienced growing up in the 1980's NYC foster care system. We also delve into his recent ADHD diagnosis. Kareem has been through a lot of gnarly shit and was dealt a rough hand in life BUT he's come out the other end of it all in a truly inspiring fashion. From being a foster kid to being a "Showtime at the Apollo" champion, he shares his journey, his insights and so much more. Enjoy it!

  • Ep. 19 Addiction as Disease, Not Weakness. Bipolar 1 Versus Bipolar 2 w/ Hans Freiwald (Part 3)
This episode of TYPP! discusses the reality that addition to drugs and alcohol is a disease, not a weakness of character. Unfortunately, it's often still viewed in our society that a person experiencing addition just doesn't have the will power or strength to stop, like they're some sort of damaged or immoral person. This type of stigma is damaging for all involved, and it's actually a major deterrent to recovery. My guest, sketch comedian Hans Freiwald, who is in recovery from alcoholism, explains his perspective with insight and hilarity. Also, because I have Bipolar 1 and he has Bipolar 2, we compare and contrast, which is funnnn. Haha. Please enjoy part 3 of this epic interview.
