Alex: Who is that boy sitting alone?
Classmate: That’s Omar. He is from another country. He doesn’t talk much.
Alex: Oh. I want to say hi.
(Alex walks over to Omar)
Alex: Hi! I’m Alex. What’s your name?
Omar: (smiling a little) Omar.
Alex: Do you want to play soccer with me?
Omar: (face brightens) Yes! I love soccer!
(After lunch, they play soccer together. Other kids join.)
Kid 1: Wow, Omar is really good!
Kid 2: Go, Omar! Great goal!
(After the game)
Alex: You’re really good at soccer!
Omar: Thank you. I was scared. I thought no one would talk to me.
Alex: You are part of our class. You are welcome here.

(Scene: The next day at lunch)
Alex: Come sit with us, Omar!
Omar: Okay! Thank you.
Friend: Hi Omar! Want to play again later?
Omar: Yes! I’d love to!
(They all laugh and eat together.)
