    Core 52: Set Apart
This week begins a new mini-series called Set Apart in our Core 52 study. Think of this core 52 study as a Bible buffet. Truly all you can eat. The last four weeks we went through creation, our identity in Christ, the Fall of Man, and the covenant that God has made with us through His Son Jesus. 4 Core values, 4 core principles that are part of the foundation of our faith. Each week throughout this series we will continue to add items to the buffet. The Apostle Peter writes in 1 Peter 2:2-3 that we are to be Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. Once we taste the spiritual food that God is offering us then we will crave more and more of this food that brings nourishment to our spiritual bodies while it guides and directs our minds and physical bodies in this world. And this is one buffet that you will never walk, or waddle away from feeling bloated and miserable. This buffet will add a spring to your step. It will place a song in your heart. Joy in your soul. It will allow you to see the world through God’s eyes and see and love people the way that God does. This is one of the ways that Jesus fulfills a promise to us. It is one of the means by which we can begin to experience life and life to the fullest!
This week we want to ask you one simple question. Has God set you apart?
As a family here at Berea, we want you to know that you are welcome to join us. God has a plan for you. No matter where you have been or what you have done, He is waiting for you now. There is a place for you within our family at Berea.

    Core 52: Covenant…more than a promise
Welcome to Core 52! We are on a journey into 52 of the core verses that make up the foundation of our faith. Our theme for the entire series is “to Know, to Live, to Love His Word Together”. We must make knowing the Word of God a priority in our lives. The Spirit of God will use that knowledge to help guide and direct every aspect of our lives. You can join us on this journey at any time.
What is a covenant? This is just not a word we use anymore. Yet it is the foundation of our relationship with God. All of us need to have an understanding of the covenant that God has made with us through His Son Jesus. This week we will go back to the beginning and share with you a few of the covenants that God has made in the past. We will end with all of the ways that God remains faithful to us today. Have you entered into a covenant relationship with God?
As a family here at Berea, we want you to know that you are welcome to join us. God has a plan for you. No matter where you have been or what you have done, He is waiting for you now. There is a place for you within our family at Berea.

    Core 52: The Fall
Welcome to Core 52! We are on a journey into 52 of the core verses that make up the foundation of our faith. Our theme for the entire series is “to Know, to Live, to Love His Word Together”. We must make knowing the Word of God a priority in our lives. The Spirit of God will use that knowledge to help guide and direct every aspect of our lives.
We have all seen it. “Famous” people, powerful people who fall from their position. Who lose their popularity or their fortune as the result of what we might call sin or indiscretion in their lives. We have probably asked, “how could they have done that, they seem to have had everything? It is not just the rich and famous that fall in these ways. We have likely seen this happen all around us. In the lives of our family, friends and coworkers. It is possible it might have happened to you.
This week we will be talking about the fall of mankind. The moment when sin entered into the world. It is a heartbreaking moment. But even through this, God shows His love and compassion for us. If you have fallen in your life, please know there is hope for you. There is forgiveness, healing and restoration. We pray that God leads you to us this Sunday so you can find out more about His plan for you.

Core 52: Who Am I? Your true Identity…
We are excited to start a journey into 52 of the core verses that make up the foundation of our faith. Our theme for the entire series is “to Know, to Live, to Love His Word Together”.
We must make knowing the Word of God a priority in our lives. The Spirit of God will use that knowledge to help guide and direct every aspect of our lives. This study will take us through 52 of the most influential verses in the Bible. From the beginning of the Bible to the end.
Who am I? How do you answer that question? Where does your identity come from? The identity crisis in our culture is found in all ages, ethnicities, and economic classes. Could it be because we are searching for our identity in the wrong place? This week we will be looking to God’s Word for answers to this question. It would be an honor to have you join us for our study about this important truth.

    Core 52: The Beginning!
We are excited to start a journey into 52 of the core verses that make up the foundation of our faith. According to a recent study by the Cultural Research Center only 4% of Americans have a Biblical worldview. Yet, some studies suggest that up to 63% of Americans claim to be Christians. Those two numbers do not add up. As a follower of Jesus, we are called to live like Jesus, to have the mind of Christ. We are to see the world as He sees it. God’s Word is where we learn how to do just that.

  • 482 Am I, in love? 1 John wk 5 081323

    August 13, 2023 @ 10:00 a.m.

    Am I, in love?

Are you in love with Jesus?   Because He is absolutely in love with you.   This is a theme throughout 1 John.    God is love.   1 John 4:16.   The world has taken that to mean many things that are not true about God.  The world has tried to know and experience love apart from God.  This is simply not possible.  Because God is love.  It is by His love, His example of love that we know how to love Him and to love others.   His love within you is more powerful than anything this world can throw at us.  His love even has the ability to cast out all fear!

This week we will be in 1 John 4.   An incredible passage with encouragement, challenges, truth and plenty of His love on display.   It would be a joy to have the opportunity to meet you and share the love of Jesus with you.  As a family here at Berea, we want you to know that you are welcome to join us.  God has a plan for you.  No matter where you have been or what you have done, He is waiting for you now. There is a place for you within our family at Berea.

    Am I, Faithful?
Our study of 1 John takes us through chapter 2 and into chapter 3 this week. John writes about everything from the antichrist to the love of Jesus. He shares with his readers that if they live out their faith it is more than possible that the world will come to hate them. Have you ever wondered why this is still true? He continues to remind them of how we can know that we belong to the truth. An assurance that people of faith can and should have today as well. John’s words were challenging and inspiring to his readers in the 1st century. Through the Spirit of God, his words continue to challenge and inspire us today. Please join us this week to find out more.
This is going to be an exciting Fall here at Berea. We cannot wait to share with you all that God has planned for us. As a family here at Berea, we want you to know that you are welcome to join us. God has a plan for you. No matter where you have been or what you have done, He is waiting for you now. Am I?
    Keeping His Commands?
In the book of 1 John, the author is pouring out his love and wisdom to his readers. If you read his letter from the wrong perspective, you might think that John is a grumpy old man who wants to make sure that everyone is following the rules. Nothing could be further from the truth. His desire is for everyone to experience the full joy of the Lord in this life as well as have the assurance of an eternity with Jesus because of their faith. He does now want them to be led astray or be deceived by the world. He wants to remind them of the truth that they had been taught since they came to Jesus. Even what might be considered John’s harshest words are wrapped in love and encouragement. It would be an honor to share this love and encouragement with you this week.

    July 23, 2023 @ 10:00 a.m.
    Am I, Loved?
    ABSOLUTELY!
Come find out how much this Sunday as we explore the teachings of Jesus through the pen of John. 1 John 1:9 tell us that “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” This is incredible news for those that choose to make Jesus their Savior and Lord. Did you notice that there are 2 parts to that verse? We will go over both parts and how they relate to being true followers of Jesus.
As a family here at Berea, we want you to know that you are welcome to join us. God has a plan for you. No matter where you have been or what you have done, He is waiting for you now. There is a place for you within our family at Berea.
