There is general support and relief following the appointment of Dan Marokane as Eskom's new CEO. He will take up the position by 31st March 2024.The Minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Gordhan made the announcement yesterday. Marokane replaces former CEO Andre de Ruyter who resigned from the position a year ago following a loss of support from the government and board. He joins the power utility at a difficult time as the country is going through the worst rolling blackouts on record this year.  We spoke to Independent energy expert Adil Nchabeleng
