Five men have been jailed for a total of nearly 25 years for assaulting an off-duty police officer and stealing his watch in Harrow, London.

The victim had been at a bar in Rayners Lane, Harrow, on 17th November 2019. He became aware of two men watching him earlier on in the evening but did not act upon the males' behaviour.

As the off-duty police officer left the bar at around 03:00hrs, a man came up from behind him and looped his arms around his neck, pulling him backwards and on to the pavement.

A serving police officer has spoken about their encounter with a 15-year-old boy who was recently found wandering the streets with a stab wound.

According to the PSNI, rioting in Belfast on Wednesday night was on a scale not seen in Northern Ireland for years. 

In total, 74 police officers have been injured during the widespread disorder, which has seen buses being petrol bombed, buildings set ablaze, and police officers attacked. 

Nineteen police officers were injured alone last night (8th April) during the violence that erupted between loyalist and nationalist communities in west Belfast.

An IOPC investigation concluded that officers 'acted appropriately' during a stop and search carried out by Territorial Support Group (TSG) officers in Tottenham in May 2020. 

A partial video clip of the search, which was widely shared on social media at the time, led to widespread criticism of the officers even though the clip only shared one part of the encounter. 

The sharing of such partial clips of the police's interaction with members of the public has become more common.

A 26-year-old man has admitted a brutal attack on two police officers using a meat cleaver.

In June last year, David Dowson attempted to murder one officer and endangered the life of another in the incident in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.

Dowson sliced off the tip of one of his victims' thumb, and both officers suffered severe injuries.

In Glasgow, the High Court heard PCs Josh McCorry and Glenn Coletta were "terrified and feared for their lives".

A man who rammed his car into several police vehicles in an attempt to escape has been sent to prison. 

During the incident, Lewis Lloyd, 27, of Weir Hall Road, Tottenham, also assaulted two police officers during the stop in Enfield on Saturday 16th January. 

Lloyd was sentenced to three years and eight months imprisonment, having pleaded guilty to a total of 12 offences during an earlier hearing.

Three men have been jailed for their part in the rape and robbery of two women attacked in their own home in Hackney, east London.

The men appeared at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday, 12 February, where they were convicted of rape and robbery offences. 

The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation after officers were called by a nurse at a sexual health clinic on Thursday, 13 June 2019, after a patient reported being raped.

A two-week-old baby killed after his pram was hit by a car in Brownhills (West Midlands Police) has been named by his family as Ciaran Leigh Morris.

A BMW is understood to have been involved in a collision with another car in High Street before striking his pram at around 16:00 hours.

When Feron was 16-years-old, a local beat officer would often have informal chats with him when he played football with his friends. 

These encounters inspired him to explore a career in policing. After spending two years as a community protection officer working from Radford Road, he has just completed his first week as a police officer at Nottinghamshire Police.
