ETERNAL WORD OF LIFE MINISTRY (EWLM)

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

THE SCRPTURE RELATES THAT MANY ARE THE TRIALS OF THE RIGHTEOUS BUT FROM THEM ALL THE LORD DELIVERS HIM. THIS IS IN ITSELF A MESSAGE OF HOPE; ENCOURAGING US TO STAND FIRM IN OUR FAITH IN THE MIDST OF TRIALS AND ASSURING US OF GOD'S DELIVERANCE FOR HIS PEOPLE. MORE SO, TODAY'S READINGS DRAW OUR ATTENTION TO THE FACT THE MOMENTS OF TRIALS, PERSECUTIONS AND CHALLENGES ARE THE MOST OPPORTUNED TIME TO BEAR WITNESS TO JESUS CHRIST, KNOWING THAT GOD WILL NEVER ABANDON US BUT WILL ALWAYS COME TO OUR AID IF WE PERSEVERE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Though evil may rise and reign for a time, it shall never prevail over good. No matter how long the night lasts, it will certainly turn into day. Light will always triumph over darkness. God will indeed set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; a kingdom of peace, light, righteousness, justice and sustainable development and only those who live practicing and promoting the values of this kingdom shall be of this kingdom.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

God is more interested in the gift of our heart than in the gifts of our hands. This is because the disposition of the heart behind every act of giving determines the quality of what is being given by the hands. Let's therefore serve God in sincerity of heart that our gifts may be pleasing in His sight and attract His blessings to us.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Our God is God of the living and not of the dead. He's not only able to raise those who are bodily dead back to life but also able to revive every situation suggesting unproductivity, hopelessness, despair, despondency and misery. God is able to turn around all these into blossoming and flourishing blessings.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Prayer could be described as a means of communion and communication with God. According to Jesus Christ, the house of God, the temple, must be a place of prayer. We're God's temple, besides referring to the Church as God's temple. To this effect then, our hearts, the assembly of God's holy people as well as the physical church, must always be environment providing a condusive atmosphere for a holistic communion and communication with God. Hence, every moment of our existence becomes an an opportunity for us to constantly re-dedicate ourselves to God in humidity and purity.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

The temptation to commit sin comes with a lot of promises to entice and lure us into sin. Unfortunately, sin brings us nothing but huge unpleasant and destructive consequences. We must, therefore, be wise to run away from every occasion of sin and resist and detest sin in its minutest form for the wage of sin is death.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Nothing good comes easy, they say. The call to serve God does not promise us a thorn-free road. In fact, serving God in sincerity comes with its own challenges just like any human endeavour does. However, in serving God, we enjoy the helping company of God all the way and His Divine reward. We are therefore challenged today to stand faithful in serving God to the very end despite the difficulties this may entail. God will neither forsake us nor fail to reward us.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Jesus calls on us today to be persistent in prayer and righteousness for God will certainly vindicate His elect who cry to Him day and night. We may go through challenges and we may not always have it in life exactly the way we want it always. God may appear to be far from us or even alienated from our experiences at times. However, we must never give up on prayers and righteousness for if we persevere in both, God will come through for us and vindicate us at His most favourable time. Though He may appear to delay, God never fails.
