TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

God exalts the humble and humbles the proud. Humility is the seed ground for the birthing and growth of all other virtues. This explains why the life of the humble is usually pleasing to God as it becomes a breeding ground for virtuous life.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Ours is a generation that is sick in several dimensions and, in some instances, critically so. We're faced today with the existential question; could there be any circumstance/reason why we shouldn't do good? At a time when the world is starving of good works, we're challenged as God's children to go beyond all barriers and do good to all with a view to bringing about the holistic and integral salvation of the human person.

For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Philippians 4:4-9; Psalms 94, 103 and 126 from Wednesday 1st to Thursday 9th November, 2023.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

For us believers, death is not an end of life but the point of transition from this transient world to eternity. Hence, in death, we transit from the temporary state of life to the eternal state of life. In today's celebration, we celebrate the hope we share in the resurrection of the dead as their death does not imply their annihilation but their transition into eternity. We therefore support them with our prayers today that they may all share in the eternal glory of God like all the saints.

We're called to share in the Holiness of God and by that fact live in holiness. This is only possible through the free gift of God's grace. Those who live this life of grace to the end escape eternal condemnation and share eternally in the glory of God. As we celebrate the triumph of God's grace in the life of the saints and as we share in the benefits of their prayers, let's live truly as God's children and come to share in the triumph of God's grace in our own very life.

Indeed, the kingdom of God is the kingdom of unfailing hope. It's a kingdom where God's power reign supreme. It's not a place of magic. It's a place where hope never fails even when our hope may, in some instances, take time to manifest. In this kingdom, God is too faithful to fail, though we may for a time have to wait upon God in hope and righteousness.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

As God's children, the Spirit of God which makes you sons/daughters of God and enables you call out to God "ABBA FATHER" has been poured into your hearts. Consequently, no matter the circumstances of life, don't loose sight of this fact. Though it may not be all perfect for you now, as you continue diligently in hardwork and fervently in righteousness God will at His most favourable time come through for you and change your narrative for good.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Jesus Christ is a moral standard that sets a clear dichotomy between light and darkness, good and evil, godliness and ungodliness. By the fact of His coming in concrete terms (incarnation) to the stage of human existence and human activities, He becomes a concrete standard with which human activities are judged to be either morally good or evil; a reality that has become a cause for division among people. Choose wisely the side of the line you'll be. Remember, the wage of sin is death and the reward of righteousness is eternal life.
