ETERNAL WORD OF LIFE MINISTRY (EWLM)

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Every covenant has its own terms just as every contract has its own terms and conditions. The old covenant couldn't save the entire humanity from sin and condemnation; only the new covenant does. As members of this new covenant we must live our life in the light of this new covenant, having Jesus Christ as our model. Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Human existence is often a reality of two opposites. Jesus was a successful person in human terms. Nevertheless, He never allowed His success stories becloud the vision He had of His mission on earth. At every ovation He literally retreats to contemplate and refocus and this ritual in turn begets greater ovations. He remain connected always to the Divine Master stayed faithful to the Divine Plan and so enjoyed the highest form of glory. In your pursuit of success, create time to reconnect with God and reflect on life holistically. What you may call success or an achievement today me become a great disaster or monster tomorrow. Be careful about the choices you make in life as each has its consequences. Your life isn't just dependent on material/temporal things alone. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Persevere in good works always for you shall be remembered by what you have done. God would not be so unjust as to forget all you have done, the love that you have for his name or the services you have done, and are still doing, for others. To be able to persevere in good works, however, you must develop a last trust and faith in God, for He is able and willing to take care of you no matter what comes your way. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Every good gift comes from God. Just like the priests, every human person is created by God for a purpose and entrusted with a specific mission. In your call/gift lies your God-given honour. Your call/gift is meant to be employed judiciously in the service of God and humanity. Unfortunately, when ruled by the senses we become slaves rather than masters to our gifts, positions and possessions as a result of which we end up serving them rather than employing them in our humble service to God and humanity. The resultant effect of this is the societal ills we suffer today. However, when we humble ourselves in employing our resources, gifts, positions and possessions at the service of God and humanity God himself exalts us the more and together we build up a healthy church and human society, the body of Christ, where peace, progress, sustainable development, wellness, justice and equity flourish and blossom. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Followership of and friendship with Jesus Christ is not a function of one's qualification of any kind but on the contrary both are open to every human person. In fact, Jesus Christ invites each of us, particularly you as a person just as you are, to share in His friendship and collaborate with Him as a disciple of His. We become His friends (saved) and subsequently His disciples (follower) the moment we respond positively to His invitation. Jesus is saying to you today: "follow me". What's your response to Him? TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The wages of sin is death but Jesus Christ, the Son of man, has come that we may have life and have it in abundance. Sin separates us from God and once separated from God we loose our "immunity" and as such we become vulnerable to death (we are alienated from God; the source of life). Thus, following the faith of his friends, Jesus reconciles the paralytic brought to Him in this Gospel episode by forgiving his sins. It's upon this reconciliation/forgiveness that the paralytic received healing and restoration. Do you desire forgiveness, healing, restoration and divine blessings, be reconciled with God and with your fellow human beings and you'll live to testify just like the paralytic. Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. In the incarnation of Jesus Christ God condescends to share in our human nature thereby lifting us above our human nature to share in His Divine nature. By baptism God makes us His children by adoption through Jesus Christ. By His suffering/passion He shares in our human reality with all the challenges characterising it. By His sinless life He shows us the way to God the Father and the pattern of life we are to live as God's children. By His death the debt of our sins and condemnation was paid to the fullest. By His resurrection we are admitted into the glorious life of God as heirs to His kingdom. INDEED, JESUS CHRIST WAS MADE HUMAN IN ORDER THAT WE MAY BECOME DIVINE. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. There are principles and laws that are said to be universal principles and laws and such principles and laws are said to operate independent of human beings and are binding on every human being. This fact we acknowledge with ease. In a similar vein, we must acknowledge even more the authority of the author of such universal principles and laws; namely God. This recognition enables us to be submissive to God's authority and enjoy the cover of same authority.
