TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Today's Gospel demonstrates that; nothing is impossible with God, God is ever willing and able to attend to the needs of His people, God works through human instruments and, very importantly, we only need the indwelling of God's Spirit, right disposition and faith to enjoy the manifestation of God's power in addressing our needs. What's your situation today and in what areas of your life do you need the help of God? God is still willing and able to help you. TRUST IN HIS LOVE FOR YOU. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. God in Jesus Christ takes the human nature in order to share in our humanity. The sacrament of baptism makes us the children of God. The implication of this is that we are made to share in the Divine nature (Divinity) of God while still still in human form. As human be fully involved int he life of your society to the extent that it doesn't blur your vision of eternity nor hampers your doing the will of God. On the other hand, sharing in the divine nature of God, in all things we must aim higher than the values inherent in the transient things of the world to focus on the values of the kingdom of God which by their nature are eternal and unchanging. For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Numbers 6:22-27; Deuteronomy 20:1-4; Psalms 118, 129 and 141 from 1st to 9th January, 2023.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. We're indeed the children of God; the children of righteousness. This is because we're created in the image and likeness of God (cf. Gen. 1:26-27). We share in the image of God not in appearance but in character and in our way of life. Jesus Christ has the fulness of the nature and image of God and as such He's our model in terms of being children of God.

Upon being asked this question; "who are you?", John the Baptist declared in clear terms his true identity even when he had the opportunity of usurping the glory of the Christ. Many are living a miserable and unfulfilled life today because they are either unaware of their true identity or fail to accept themselves for whom they are or both. Know yourself and accept yourself in God and you'll find peace with yourself, fulfilment in life and happiness in God.

Once you become a citizen of a particular country, your life and activities are regulated by the constitution of the said country. We're made the children of God not by merit but by adoption through Jesus Christ by virtue of our faith and belief. However, once made the children of God, we must have our life and activities guided by the Word of God and modelled after that of Jesus Christ. Beware of the antichrist who'll always teach and promote otherwise. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The child is the hope and the future of the family. The family is the domestic church and the smallest unit of the human society. Hence, the fate of the future of humanity rests majorly on the child. The success and/or failure of the church and the society therefore depends largely on the child; and as such his/her upbringing. Train up your child in the way he/she should go so that when he/she is grown, he/she will not depart from it.
