North American equity markets have been relatively flat of late, following a wave of disappointing earnings this earnings season. U.S. Treasury yields have also slipped as new data signalled a greater-than-expected economic slowdown. Today we ask how this market environment is affecting the ETF space. Etienne Joncas-Bouchard, ETF strategist, joins host Bryan Borzykowski today, for a discussion on which factors may be favourable in the current market environment, and to provide an update on the Fidelity All-in-One ETFs. Etienne shares today that the main reason all-in-one ETFs have been growing in popularity is due to their simplicity as well as ensuring broad diversification. Among other topics, Etienne also comments on the market's ambition to expect rate cuts, shares how not every dividend strategy is the same, and notes that high-quality names have been popular lately as those businesses generally do well coming out of a slowdown and are able to weather inflationary pressures better.
