EV Church Sermons

The Bible has a shocking answer to the world's idea that this short life is all there is. Andrew Heard challenges us with the words of Paul, to fix our eyes on the eternal promises of God, far outweighing this life.

Just like Paul, we too can have the ability to not lose heart. Jez Reynolds takes us through chapter 4 and the example we have from Paul of the true, powerful, and eternal gospel of Jesus.

We all want change in our lives. Surface change can be easy, yet deeper change is harder.

Dave Jensen shows us that the change we need most will never happen outside of Jesus Christ.

Paul reinforces to the Corinthians his part in the triumphant message of the gospel of Jesus going out amongst the region. Andrew Heard helps us understand how Paul aims to reshape the Corinthians view of God, and what this means for us today too.

The church in Corinth was questioning if Paul was a trustworthy leader. Grahame Fuller shares from this passage Paul's deep love for them - a mirror of the amazing trustworthiness of God and his love for us.

Are we just like the Corinthians, thinking of ourselves as "spiritual" and in touch with God, and yet completely misjudging the true God and what it means to follow him?

Andrew Heard begins the 2 Corinthians series, the ordinary presentation of the extraordinary gospel message.

How do you think of God?

Jesus came into our world to confront death - to defeat it. Dave Jensen considers the raising of Lazarus and how it points to life beyond the grave for everyone who would come to Jesus.

This Good Friday we remember the Good Shepherd who lovingly laid down his life for us. Andrew Heard unpacks the offer of the good life that you won't find anywhere else other than in Jesus.

At its core the Christian message is not about love, but about WHO Jesus is. Andrew Heard shows us from chapter 10 the care we should take in knowing who we engage with when we approach Jesus. Thank God he is gracious and receives us flawed as we are.
