While we cannot say whether or not Otomate wrote Il with the intention of him being read as neurodivergent, a lot of elements of his character, the way he interacts with the world, and the way other characters interact with him, resembles the experiences of neurodivergent people. Because of this, the treatment of Il by other characters sometimes resembles ableism against neurodivergent people in a way that can feel hurtful or uncomfortable.

Today on Evaludate, Air and Madelyn say screw it and go for an hour and forty minutes so they don't have to talk about Rindo again, accidentally drop the name of a spoiler character 10 times, and really, REALLY wish we were dating this guy's much cooler sister instead.

Because of the nature of the relationship explored in this episode--that between a 19 year old woman and a 42 year old  man--we spend some time discussing power imbalances and predatory behavior in large age gap dynamics that this game uncritically reproduces, and the way the game falls into romanticizing grooming behavior in its attempt to make this relationship "not weird". If this type of discussion may be uncomfortable or triggering for you, you may want to skip this episode.

Today on Evaludate, Air and Madelyn discuss: Incredibly non-creepy ways to talk to teenagers, avoiding your podcast responsibilities by doing chores, Mr. Toei's Abandoned Warehouse, and, mostly, a boring middle-aged man with no redeeming factors.

Cannibalism / Unwitting Cannibalism: While we do not get to the part of Ignis' route that contains this subject in this episode, we do want to warn our listeners up-front of this element so you can decide if you want to listen to our discussion of Ignis' route at all based on these themes.
Appropriation of indigenous cultures/use of indigenous stereotypes: This is also something that is thematic of Ignis' route that we addressed somewhat last episode, but is more prevalent in Ignis' route proper and so comes up very frequently. For this reason we want to issue a general content warning for this as well.
