Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of Psalm 46:1-7 which says "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The Lord Almighty is with us, the God of Jacob is our fortress."

"Ever present means He has always been there for you and He will never leave you. It’s hard to see it, in seasons of anger, frustration, or in seasons of unknown territory. When bad things happen we question Him, why me God why did this have to happen to me. But I encourage you to ask the right questions, and I promise you you will feel him with you. The next time you want to ask why God, I encourage you to say “Father, I know you are here I know you are experiencing this with me, give me the strength and the faith. I do not know why these things are happening, but I do know I need your strength right now”

 

That simple prayer will change your perspective and you will feel exactly as this writer did when writing these scriptures. Therefor we will not fear, though the world - your world - may fall apart, the Lord Almighty is with us."
