In times of suffering, trials, and difficulties, the Lord is near to His people, binding up their broken hearts and providing them with everything they need to follow Him. For these reasons, and most of all for the giving of His own Son, the Lord is worthy to be praised and worshipped with our entire beings.

The New Testament is full of examples of people praying together. And guess what almost always follows that? The mighty working of God. We have been commanded to pray together and if we want to see God work, we cannot neglect that. A Healthy Church Prayerfully Seeks God

The Third Mark of a Healthy Church is that it practices the ordinances. And not only does it practice them, but it practices them Biblically, often, and to the glory of God. Join us as we look at what the Bible says about Baptism and the Lord's Supper. 

The second mark of a healthy church is that it preaches the Word of God. God's Word is the ultimate authority in our lives and is sufficient for the believer to be equipped before God. Therefore, the church does not need to look elsewhere for truth, but must simply preach the Word! 

This is the first sermon in our series on the Marks of a Healthy Church. This first mark, that the church gathers for worship, is essential for all that follow afterward and is essential to the very nature of the church. Why must the church gather? And what must we do when we gather? 

The first words are always important words. In this passage, we have the first recorded words of Jesus, as he visits the temple of God. And Jesus doesn't disappoint! 

In this passage, we encounter three examples of faithful followers of God, ranging from a young couple to an old widowed prophetess. How can we be like these disciples and serve the Lord from start to finish? 

There have been many people throughout history who have changed the course of history. None compare to the person of Jesus Christ. How did the birth of Christ change everything? Listen and you'll see! 

When we put our faith in Christ, is it our expectation that life will be smooth sailing from then on? If God loves us, shouldn't our suffering cease when we turn to him? In this sermon, we look at whether or not God can be trusted in and through our trials. 

What should your New Years goal be? Put to death what remains of the old self, and walk in light of the new self that we have been given by Christ. Now how do we do that? Listen and find out!
