In this episode, Tabatha and Pastor Jerry team up to discuss the mindset of those who often perceive themselves as victims, and how continually holding onto hurt can impede personal growth and healing. Drawing from their own experiences and biblical wisdom, she emphasizes the importance of acknowledging pain, giving oneself time to grieve, and then intentionally moving forward. They share insights from Jerry’s own cycling experience when he did a 300-mile bike ride for missions as well as physical therapy, explaining that just as physical injuries need movement to heal, emotional wounds require courage to release the past and avoid becoming immobilized by fear. Together, they encourage listeners to lean on faith and resilience, using the strength from Psalm 91 as a reminder that God provides shelter and healing. Ultimately, the key message is to learn from life’s pains and move forward, allowing God’s guidance to lead to lasting recovery.

Listen in with us as Tabatha shares her personal journey of struggling with faith and discovering the importance of community in spiritual battles. Sven thought she felt overwhelmed by self-doubt and reluctant to reach out for support…needing help yet fearing judgment, she ultimate finds the courage (or was it desperation?) to confide in a friend. This act of vulnerability led to a profound moment of relief and strength as her friend and her husband offered support, prayed for her, and connected her with others facing similar challenges. This marked a turning point, as she began to feel the strength of a shared faith journey.

Through the lens of the “Armor of God” concept, particularly the shield of faith, the episode highlights the power of community in helping individuals stand firm in their beliefs during difficult times. One of the most effective tactics of our enemy is making people feel isolated, but by reaching out and leaning on the faith of others, we can find resilience and hope!
