Remember that song we learned as kids? “Jesus loves the little children / All the children of the world”… That’s what comes to mind with today’s podcast title: Jesus loves the DOUBTER! We tend to think that we are only loved or applauded when we show great faith, but how does Jesus feel about those times when we can’t say with certainty “I believe…”? Tabatha dives into a well-known Bible story that has some often-overlooked details to pull out more information about how the Savior of the world feels about the doubter. Listen now!

How can we trust God when we’re in the middle of a mess and can’t see the whole picture? Tabatha and Jerry team up to discuss this topic, sharing some Biblical knowledge and personal stories along the way. One of the stories Tabatha brings up is the story of the doubting father in Mark 9, which you can read here: https://www.bible.com/bible/116/MRK.9.NLT

We all have to deal with labels of some sort - whether they’re labels of our own making or not! Some labels can be good - but sometimes we are stuck with a label that actually limits who we are and who we meant to be! Today’s episode brings up the Samaritan woman at the well from John 4. Read the whole story here: https://www.bible.com/bible/116/JHN.4.NLT

In this episode, Tabatha gets real and vulnerable about what led to her own faith crisis and the lessons she learned walking through that shadowy time. Through a literal word from the Lord, she realized how she was weighing herself down, spiritually speaking. Not by doubting God or His Word, but by the guilt she felt by doubting to begin with. Realizing that and taking the word the Lord gave her to heart, she was able to start to pull herself out of the shadows of doubt and has made it her mission to help others that find themselves in that same place. Listen in for the details!

If you have ever found yourself facing hard questions - and even doubts - about your faith, we want you to join us at Everyday Imperfect - a free podcast where we share ways of blending our faith- as imperfect as it is - into our everyday.
Led by Tabatha Rewis - an admittedly imperfect follower of Jesus, pastor’s wife, mom, author and speaker, you’ll be hearing from Tabatha’s heart - and sitting in as she and several guests chat about their own faith struggles and victories.
Tabatha has had to wrestle through some pretty dark times in her own faith, all while still trying to keep that mask of “perfection” on - before she realized that having FAITH doesn’t mean you don’t have doubts or questions. And she wants to make sure that no one else has to struggle with those shadows of doubt unnecessarily.
Just because you have doubts or questions does not make you LESS of a Christian - it simply makes you a Christian with questions.
So, listen in — and buckle up - it will probably be a bumpy ride - but as we give our “everyday faith” to Jesus, we are going to go farther and deeper than we ever could on our own!
