  • Tesla Updates Model 3 Camera, New Rimac Hypercar Teased and Porsche Supercharging Plans | 26 Jan 2018

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening! Wherever you're listening around the world, a very warm welcome from London, UK.  Here's todays news in electric cars and sustainable transport.  My name is Martyn Lee and this is your EV News Daily for Friday 26th January 2018.

Early customers of the Tesla Model 3 are reporting that, since a software update, they’ve noticed changes in the rear camera.

The 2018 Nissan LEAF configurator is now live offering the S, SV and SL trim levels in the U.S.

Rimac have previewed their next generation hypercar to follow up the Concept One. Surely the specs will improve upon the impressive 0-62mph time of 2.6 seconds, and 220mph top speed.

Renault ZOE named best Electric Car in the UK according to a new awards ceremony.

A new U.K. report claims the only way to charge your electric car with ‘clean’ energy is to build small, off-the-shelf nuclear power stations.

In India, the Mercedes Benz CEO claims that by 2040 the whole world will be driving hydrogen cars. How does that fit in with Daimler’s previous announcements about embracing electrification?

In the U.S. there are “critically insufficient policies” to deal with climate change, which can be fixed by moving to electrified transport.

The BMW i3 will be replaced by the iX1 according to British magazine ‘Car’, with carbon fibre panels making ways for traditionally pressed metal, to lower costs.

Porsche want to revolutionise the charging system with their Mission E to gain 250miles/400kms in just 20mins.
