Had a random thought about why followers don't really matter that much. It's based on a documentary about how wealth grows. Made me realize how meaningless the idea of followers and likes really are because they are not scarce. It doesn't cost anything to follow millions upon millions of people. I wonder what would happen to the algorithms if we could have a bot make everyone follow everyone.

Ultimately, followers and likes have no meaning because they have no cost. Therefore I have a hunch that follower count and likes will either become so inflated they will lose all meaning or the platforms will introduce scarcity to the system to keep social currency relevant.

My interview with the incredible Jonathan Weaver. OMG, I was so excited about this. I came across the anti blueprint project when I started researching Kickstarter book projects and I was instantly involved with this concept. As I mention in the interview I think Johnathan and I are kindred spirits. We are two people that have come to find power in the journey of discovering your own path and interview other successful people to learn and share a few more examples. His story is no different. I was totally inspired by his work, his energy, and his kindness he has shown me in being willing to help my project. He is an incredible human. Amy Webb is an author and artist. She recently released her second children’s book (Book 1 - When Charley met Emma, Book 2 - Awesomely Emma) and both books are about a child with limb differences. They are wonderful books I highly recommend them.

So this is part one of a 2 part discussion I have with Amy about her journey/path to becoming a published author. In this first part, we talk about her backstory. Talking with McKenzie on this episode I think will really be very meaningful for a lot of people who resonate with her story. She never identified as wanting to own a business or work as a creative but here she is running her own business as a virtual assistant and you can as well. You can learn what you need to create the life and career you want as well. She is early on in her journey but I think she has so much to offer others just starting out or thinking they may want to pursue that freelancing or small business. I have been watching her grinding and doing the work, showing up and getting uncomfortable. Honestly, that is what made me reach out. Her work. She is persistent and I can see how much she has grown.
