• Once you have an awareness that your subconscious mind has never really been filtered and actually a lot of what’s in there might not actually be true, just things that other people have told you or you’ve learned from other people that are sitting in your subconscious mind. In order to have control of our thoughts and train our minds we need to have awareness of what’s going on in that subconscious mind and what comes to consciousness in certain situations – how you behave when you’re having an argument with your partner, for example.
• Learned behaviour is not always negative. I’ve got some really good, positive habits in place from seeing my parents or people around me as a child doing positive things. My Dad was a runner, and still is, and although I didn’t take up running I know that exercise is an important part of daily life. 
• Once you’ve become aware, the next stage if reflection. Reflecting on what’s in there, what’s coming up, what do I really believe and value, and is it in alignment with who I want to be. Is it creating a life that I love and want, or has there been no captain of my ship and I’ve just been floating around?

‘If you’re happy with your life right now, great, don’t do the work now you’ve got awareness, crack on. But, I’m pretty sure everybody (myself included) could benefit from re-evaluating your belief system and having a look at what’s yours and what’s not yours. Who the real you really is.’

• You mind is made up of two parts: Your conscious mind and your subconscious mind. The conscious mind is your thinking brain where you have to use willpower to control your behaviours, thoughts and beliefs. Your subconscious mind is like your hard drive where everything you’ve ever experienced since birth has been stored in your subconscious.
• Your subconscious is non-judgemental and is incapable of reasoning, it’s basically like a toddler. It’s a bit unruly. Unless it’s guided and given the right structure and framework to move forward positively your mind is a bit dangerous.
• Until the age of 7 we’re in receptive mode. Everything we see, hear, feel, do, every experience is stored in your subconscious and we don’t know not to put certain things in there, like bad things and untruths. Unless we’ve ever been taught the importance of how this affects our lives then we’ve never filtered it.
• There’s so much that we believe to be true about ourselves and I just want to tell you that they’re not true. A lot of what’s in your subconscious isn’t true and isn’t beneficial for you. If you were told something unkind about your appearance or what you were wearing as a child, that went into your subconscious. Later on in life you might find that you hold yourself back, don’t think you’re very attractive, don’t put yourself forward for job interviews because you don’t feel good enough. That feeling stems from this belief that was put in your subconscious that isn’t true and isn’t yours, but you took it on to be true because you were in receptive mode at the age it was said to you.

• Everything is energy, everything in the material world that you see and everything in the spiritual world beyond what our human eyes can see. This includes all our thoughts, what we say, what we do, our feelings and our emotions. Emotions are actually energy in motion.
• Energy vibrates and we all vibrate on different frequencies depending on how we’re feeling. For example: fear, anger, guilt, jealousy are all low vibrational energies, and when you think about how you feel when you experience those emotions, you feel low. On the opposite end of the scale are the high vibration emotions: joy, bliss, love, gratitude, passion, empowerment. When you feel those emotions you literally feel high.
• Think of somebody you spend time with and when you’ve left you feel completely drained. That’s because they were draining your energy. If they’re experiencing low vibrational emotions they’ll be emitting those frequencies, they almost become energy vampires.
• It’s human nature to feel low and be vibrationally low and that’s really important, we need polarity and to feel those low vibrational emotions. But what we need to have an awareness of is that when we feel like that we need to then move ourselves out of it as quickly as possible so that our cells are not vibrating on that low vibrational frequencies for too long. When they do they promote dis-ease in the body and dis-ease becomes disease.
