Exciting and New

Jason, Andy and Dana discuss what they were up to this week.   Christmas is coming right around the corner so put your ugliest sweater on and enjoy the podcast.

Jason, Andy and Dana will discuss a 1986 movie weekly, breaking down all the nonsense there within. The 3 hosts all work together and everyone else around them was getting really annoyed at all the movie talk, so they decided to annoy the world in podcast form.

Check out previous seasons to hear them discuss 1982, 1983, 1984 & 1985 movies, as well as a full season of Love Boat episodes (if that is your thing). Plus one-off specials and a weekly mini "what are we watching" podcast.

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana discuss the 1984 comedy Oh God! You Devil.  In this threequel to the other Oh God movies, George Burns stretches his acting chops and plays both God and the Devil (although he plays one a lot more than he plays the other).  They are fighting over the soul of a third rate lounge singer with big dreams and the need of some wish fulfillment.   There are a few laughs along the way and the cosmic score that all 3 of the hosts gave this movie is truly amazing.  Enjoy the podcast.  Christmas is coming....

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana discuss the 1984 superhero movie Supergirl.  In this lousy spin-off to the Superman frachise, the legend of Billie Jean stars as Supergirl with a pretty stellar supporting cast of older actors who all look like they would rather be anywhere else on the plantet (or Argo City) than be in this moive.  Mia Farrow decided one scene was enough for her,and she was going back to Woody Allen at this point.  That's right.  She would rather spend more time with Woody Allen than be in this movie for more than one scene.  Anyway, as we stumble to the end of the year, we still have some good movies lined up and 1985 will be even better.  Enjoy the podcast.

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana take one on the chin for the rest of you and discuss the 1984 something (I will not call it a comedy) Delta Pi.  Or is it Mugsy's Girls.  The internet gives little reason why there are two different names.  Have you ever gone to Wikipedia or IMDB to read up on a movie and find nothing there?  Well, this is that movie.  A bunch of college girls go to Vegas to mud wrestle.   I don't know how they messed that premise up.  It sounds like this should be the highest grossing movie of all time.  What we get is a total disaster of a movie that is only avaible to stream on a terrible analog transfer that actually hurts you eyes to watch.  Bascially I am telling you to stay away from this movie.   Normally I would say that at least we had fun discussing this one, but that would be a lie this time.  This is a skippable one.  Just download and delete!!

Jason, Andy and Dana discuss what they are up to this past week.  We are still on a high from our Krull podcast, and this was the mini we did before Teachers earlier this week.  See you soon for Delta Pi.

The Beatles Revolver.  The Beach Boys Pet Sounds.  Wham!  Make it Big.   Some of the most important sounds in history.  None of these even compare to what you are about to hear here.  This is KRULL!!  For almost a year, this podcast was thought lost.  It was only by accident that it was found.  Hundreds of years from now, King Tut's tomb, the Dead Sea Scrolls and this Krull podcast will all be mentioned in the same breath as some of mankind's greatest discoveriers.

So....

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, JASON, ANDY & DANA, along with our very special guest ZACK present KRULL.  You once were lost, but now you are found.  We love you, baby!!

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy, and Dana discuss the 1984 educational film, Teachers.  Honestly, if you have any aspirations to be a teacher, watch this movie.   You will change your profession in a minute.  Nick Nolte is the "cool" teacher, getting kids abortions (this movie should have come out in 1982), Mauser from Police Academy is the "hot" gym teacher, causing the need for the abortions, and Richard Mulligan is some crazy person off the street, who just happens to be the best teacher in the bunch.  Plus the Karate Kid, George McFly and Dr. Sattler are the students in this all star cast.  Anyway, enjoy the podcast, and get ready for a very, VERY special episode this Friday

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana (who sounds a lot like former producer Brian) discuss the 1984 comedy Police Academy.  That's right.  This is a rerun.  We did Police Academy back in the old days of 2022 when we were still trying to figure out our format, and since it is a 1984 movie, and we were too busy to record a mini, we decided to bump this one back up to the top of the feed for all the E&N fans that missed this one the first time, and just can't figure out the search function in their podcast app.  We are recording Teachers for later this week, so we will be back on schedule soon.   Enjoy this podcast and marvel at how young everyone sounds.
