It's been over a month since the latest round of violence began in the Middle East with the death toll mounting. Protests have been staged around the world calling for the freeing of the Palestinian people and sparing innocent lives. While many focus on the war, Jan Oberg, director of the Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research, believes it's also imperative for us to examine the more complex and challenging underlying conflict to this war.
