More than 3,000 projects, 50-billion-dollar investment, and over 400,000 local jobs - these are some numbers that can describe China's Belt and Road Initiative ten years on. According to the World Bank, by 2030, if fully implemented, BRI's transport infrastructure is projected to lift 7.6 million people out of extreme poverty and 32 million from moderate poverty. However, the journey has not been an easy one.
